A chess puzzle game where you can generate Mate in 1 and Mate in 2 puzzles. Puzzles are rated ★1 to ★4. Generating Mate in 2 requires some CPU power, but you can instantly play archived puzzles. Includes Chess rules.

Archived Puzzles

Generating Mate in 2 requires CPU power (about 20 seconds on a Core i3). For low-spec devices, we provide "Archived Puzzles" that don't require generation. 1,000 puzzles are loaded at startup for instant play.
If your specs allow, try generating a "Mate in 2". If a generated puzzle is rated ★2 or higher, it's added to the database for everyone to play instantly!

Others

* A 'move' consists of a turn by both players (White and Black).
* The attacker's moves do not necessarily have to be a check.
* There is only one correct move for the attacker (including promotion choices), though the opponent may have multiple ways to respond.
* Score is 1000 for Mate in 1, and 3000 for Mate in 2, plus a time bonus based on the ★ rating.
* You can share a specific board state using the in-game URL.
* Clearing archived puzzles does not update your high score.
